DEL TACO Del Taco New Mexico
A 10-location franchise in New Mexico. The social strategy is an appetite and presence calendar — not a promotional calendar. The goal is frequency of thought: stay top of mind so lapsed customers come back. Green chile is part of the menu but NOT the main focus — showcase the full menu.
- Content pillars: Product Spotlight, Menu & Cravings, Customer/UGC, Local & Community, Team & Culture
- Cadence: 5 posts/week Mon–Fri on IG, TikTok, FB, YouTube Shorts
- Format: Short (15–30s), vertical, phone-shot, tightly cut with music
- Every clip should make someone hungry within 3 seconds
- Key awards to feature: #1 Fast Food Restaurant (USA Today 2026), #1 Fries (3 years), #3 Breakfast
- Del Yeah! Rewards is the loyalty program — mention it naturally
KOALA Koala Insulation of New Mexico
A home insulation franchise covering Albuquerque and Santa Fe, expanding to Las Cruces. The social strategy is built around a recurring show concept: "Red, Green, or Christmas?" — every attic gets a verdict using thermal camera reveals.
- Sign-off line (LOCKED): "We like our green chile hot. Not our attics."
- Spanish version: "¿Rojo, Verde o Navidad?"
- 15 content pillars organized in 3 launch tiers (see Command Center for full breakdown)
- Cadence: 5 posts/week Mon–Fri on IG, FB, YouTube Shorts
- Two tracks: Track 1 = homeowner show (30–60s), Track 2 = Builder's Take (3–6 min, LinkedIn/YouTube)
- DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is the primary camera, DJI Mic 2 for audio
- Koala mascot appears deadpan in background ~1 in 3 interview pieces
This is your daily hub. It's a custom web tool that pulls all scheduled content from the database — AND connects directly to our live social accounts for posting and analytics. Sign in with your Sonaya Group email and PIN.
- Sign in with your email and PIN — Enter your Sonaya Group email and your 4–8 digit PIN. First-time users create a PIN; returning users enter theirs. Sessions last 30 days.
- Learn each sidebar section: Briefing, Calendar, Pipeline, Strategy, Shot Lists, Themes, Analytics, Competitors, Hashtags, Inbox, Team, Stores, Connections, Activity Log
- The Briefing view shows you what's due this week at a glance — KPI summary cards, gap alerts, and upcoming posts
- Calendar view shows the full content calendar — click any date to see what's scheduled
- Pipeline view shows posts by status: idea → draft → in review → approved → scheduled → posted. Drag posts between stages or use the status dropdown.
- Use the brand filter (top of sidebar) to toggle between Del Taco, Koala, or All Brands
- Keyboard shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+K opens the command palette for fast navigation
- Connections page — Our social accounts are connected via API. Currently live: Instagram (@koalainsulation_nm) and Facebook (Koala Insulation of New Mexico). YouTube is connected for stats. TikTok and Del Taco accounts coming soon.
- Publish Now — When creating or editing a post, click the green "⚡ Publish Now" button to post directly to Instagram and Facebook from the Command Center. No need to open each app separately.
- Competitors — Track competitor brands with their social handles, posting frequency, and strategy notes. Add or edit competitor profiles to keep tabs on what others in your market are doing.
- Activity Log (Audit Trail) — Every action in the app is recorded here with who, what, and when. Filter by action type (creates, edits, deletes, logins). This log cannot be edited or deleted — it's a permanent record.
- Brand-specific team — The Crew/Team Members checkboxes filter by brand. When you select "Koala" as the brand, only Koala team members appear. Pranav appears for all brands.
Core Concepts
- The algorithm rewards watch time, saves, and shares — not likes
- Hook viewers in the first 1–2 seconds or they scroll past
- Consistency beats virality — 5 solid posts/week outperforms 1 viral hit then silence
- Authentic > polished — phone-shot vertical video outperforms studio content for local brands
- Every post needs a job: make them hungry (DT), make them worried about their attic (Koala), or make them trust us
- Captions matter — most people watch without sound, so text overlays are mandatory
- Hashtags are discovery tools, not decoration — use the brand-specific sets in the Command Center

Canva handles everything that isn't video: thumbnails, story templates, static carousel posts, and branded graphics.
- Instagram Story templates (polls, Q&As, announcements)
- Thumbnail images for YouTube Shorts
- Static carousel posts (before/after, tips, team intros)
- Quote graphics and text-based posts
- Promotional graphics for events and specials
- Set up Del Taco Brand Kit: brand red (#E11D48), warm food photography tones, clean sans-serif text
- Set up Koala Brand Kit: brand green (#16A34A) and teal (#0D9488), thermal camera imagery
Each brand has a distinct voice. Never mix them.
DEL TACO Voice: Crave-worthy, proud, local
Speak like a friend who just found the best late-night spot, not a corporate marketing team. Be proud of the product — freshly hand-grated cheese, fresh tomatoes, flame-grilled. Short punchy captions. No paragraphs. Make it snackable.
Do
- Lead with the food — the visual IS the hook
- Use local slang and NM references naturally
- Mention Del Yeah! Rewards when natural (not forced)
- Feature real team members and customers
- Use brand hashtags: #deltaco #delyeahrewards #newmexicofood
Don't
- Sound corporate or scripted
- Make green chile the only story — it's ONE part of a full menu
- Post blurry, dark, or unappetizing food photos — ever
- Use generic stock photography
- Post without text overlay/captions on video
KOALA Voice: Expert but fun, local, approachable
You're the neighbor who happens to know everything about attics — not a salesperson. Use the show format: every attic is Red (bad), Green (good), or Christmas (mixed). Always close with: "We like our green chile hot. Not our attics."
Do
- Lead with thermal camera reveals — the temperature difference IS the hook
- Feature the real crew by name — Gabriel, Mike, Frank, Jacob, Mark, Ricardo, Joel
- Connect insulation to money saved, comfort gained, energy bills reduced
- Include Spanish-language content (Mark, Ricardo, Michelle, crew)
Don't
- Be boring or overly technical — "your attic is 140°F" beats "R-value"
- Skip the verdict — every inspection needs a Red/Green/Christmas call
- Use the mascot in every video — ~1 in 3 pieces, deadpan background only
- Post without the sign-off line on show episodes
- Post Koala content with Del Taco branding or vice versa
Track performance weekly and report numbers to Pranav.
Weekly Metrics (Both Brands)
- Posts published vs. target (goal: 5/week per brand)
- Total reach and impressions per platform
- Engagement rate (likes + comments + shares + saves / reach)
- Top 3 performing posts of the week — note what worked
- Saves and shares count — these matter more than likes
- Follower growth (net new followers per week per platform)
How to Pull Numbers
- Use the Command Center's Analytics tab first — it pulls engagement data from the database for posts you've logged metrics on
- Click "Log Metrics" on any posted content to record reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares, saves
- Instagram: Professional Dashboard → Insights → Content → See All → filter by date range
- TikTok: Profile → Creator tools → Analytics → Content
- Facebook: Page → Professional Dashboard → Content → filter
- YouTube: Studio → Analytics → Content → Shorts tab (subscriber count syncs automatically in Command Center)

The Social Command Center connects directly to our social media accounts via API. This lets you sync follower counts, pull post data, and — for Instagram and Facebook — publish directly from the Command Center.
Currently Connected
- KOALA Instagram — @koalainsulation_nm (Business Account via Meta Graph API). Syncs followers, media count, and profile data. Supports direct publishing of image posts.
- KOALA Facebook — Koala Insulation of New Mexico (Page ID: KIofNM). Syncs fans, category, and recent posts. Supports direct publishing of text/link posts.
- KOALA YouTube — Syncs subscriber count, video count, and total views via YouTube Data API v3. Publishing is native (through YouTube Studio).
Coming Soon
- KOALA TikTok — Account being set up. Will connect via TikTok Content Posting API once the business account is created.
- DEL TACO Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube — Del Taco social accounts will be connected as separate brand connections.
How Direct Publishing Works
- Create or edit a post in the Command Center — fill in caption, hashtags, media URL, and select platforms
- Click the green "⚡ Publish Now" button in the modal footer
- The Command Center sends the caption + hashtags + media to each connected platform's API
- The post status automatically updates to "Posted" with a timestamp
- Success/failure toasts appear for each platform — if one fails, others still publish
You can now publish directly from the Social Command Center to connected platforms using the "⚡ Publish Now" button. For platforms not yet connected, continue posting natively.
Publishing from the Command Center (Instagram & Facebook)
- Create your post in the Command Center with caption, hashtags, media URL, and platform selections
- Click "⚡ Publish Now" to push directly to Instagram and/or Facebook via API
- Instagram requires an image URL — host the image on Google Drive or another public URL first
- Facebook posts can include a link or just text — the caption and hashtags are combined automatically
- The post status automatically changes to "Posted" with a timestamp
- After publishing, still add to IG Story with a "New post!" sticker or poll (manual step)
- Reply to comments within 2 hours during business hours
- Save any tagged UGC to a collection for reposting
Instagram (Additional Tips)
- Post Reels for all video content (not regular feed videos) — Reels require native posting for now
- Static image posts can go through the Command Center's Publish Now
- Use the caption from the Command Center + add relevant hashtags from the Hashtags section
TikTok (Native Posting — Connection Coming Soon)
- Post natively via the TikTok app until the API connection is set up
- Slightly rawer edit than Instagram — TikTok rewards authenticity
- Use trending sounds when they fit (never forced)
- Shorter captions than IG — hook + one line + hashtags
- Engage with comments — replies on TikTok drive algorithm reach
Facebook (Connected — Publish from Command Center)
- Use "⚡ Publish Now" in the Command Center for Koala Insulation posts
- Write captions for an older NM audience — slightly more detail than IG
- Share to relevant local community groups when appropriate (manual step)
- Facebook Stories: repost from IG Stories (manual step)
YouTube Shorts (Stats Connected, Posting Native)
- Same vertical cuts as IG/TikTok — post natively to YouTube
- Title is more important here — YouTube is a search engine, use descriptive titles
- Add to relevant playlists (create playlists for each series/brand)
- YouTube stats (subscribers, video count, views) sync automatically in the Command Center
